This week on 1st-party.com, two simple solutions to boost conversion rate optimization were posted as “simple solutions only” slog posts.

  1. Play a game: where’s the next step?

Better yet, get every team that touches the customer to look at the experience in this way. If we aren’t providing paths to success, it is almost given that we’re not maximizing that part of the engagement.

2. Make every* page a landing page

Not every f — king page, every page that folks are landing on with predictable intent. This is a way of framing the game from #1 so that teams dig a little further into measured experiences with purpose.

This can get less simple, in that we might consider technological solutions to customize the experience a bit based on how someone got there. Functionalism at its finest :)
